– Telemetry certification
– Experience with geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations
Description:
The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment.
This test must be passed in order to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to designated patient populations which include geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry.
Floating is a requirement for any non-critical care inpatient units and to the emergency department if necessary.
If the traveler has critical care experience, they may occasionally be floated to critical care units.
Weekend rotation is required every other weekend.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records is essential.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
