Description:
The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes.
They develop, implement, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care.
They create an atmosphere that supports the mission to care, to heal, and to educate.
As the primary caregiver, the Staff Nurse, RN provides direct patient care.
They work collaboratively with other care team members, the physician, and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The incumbent has access to confidential patient information.
They make decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Candidates will be required to float to similar units when necessary.
They may be asked to float to other locations.
Floating will be to similar or lower acuity levels than what they are hired for.
They will work every other weekend.
Holiday coverage is required.
