Job Description

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Medical/Surgical

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-Hour Night Shift

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:**
– Med/Surg Experience: Required, 2 years
– RN Experience: Required, 2 years
– Cerner Experience: Required

**License:** Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state/district

**Certifications:** NIHSS, BLS, ACLS

**Must-Have:**
– Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
– Must reside 50 miles away from the facility

**Job Description:**

– Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and community by performing various patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
– Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
– Applies knowledge of growth and development necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
– Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patients’ needs.
– Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients.
– Conducts initial assessment and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
– Performs initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
– Completes admission assessment within the established time frame, according to policy and procedures.
