Description:
Fulfills the needs of patients and families by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs.
Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment required by patients.
Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
Completes admission assessments within established time frames, according to policy and procedures.
Crisis Prevention Institute’s NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course is required.
Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required.
BSN is highly desired.
