License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district

Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute’s NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course)

Must-Have: BSN – Highly desired, Telemetry experience required, Stroke or Orthopedic experience required, Cerner EMR experience required

Description:
Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing various patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.

Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care.

Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of the patients’ needs.

Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.

Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.

Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.

Completes admission assessments in the time frame established according to policy and procedures.
