Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: 2+ years in Med Surg, postpartum, pediatrics

License: RN License

Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP (appreciated), ACLS

Must-Have:
– IV placement
– NG tube placement
– Fundal checks

Job Description:
– Work in a two-campus hospital system offering a full range of services.
– Provide care in MedSurg/PostPartum/Pediatric department.
– Handle a variety of cases including bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, and postpartum care.
– Adapt to a patient mix due to varying birth rates and accept medical-surgical patients on the floor.
– Maintain effective communication and collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
– Adapt to a rotating schedule for weekend hours with no call requirements.

Additional Notes:
– Float requirements to other MedSurg units may apply.
– Handle a patient population that includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and postpartum patients.
– Utilize MedHost electronic health records and Centricity Perinatal.
– Display teamwork and professionalism within a diverse healthcare environment.
– Follow dress code consists of any scrub color (excluding camo and logo shirts/sweatshirts).
