Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Medical Surgical
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:30
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours
Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state)
Certifications: BLS from AHA (mandatory), ACLS from AHA (preferred)
Must-Have:
– 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience

Job Description:
– Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
– Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
– Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
– Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
– Monitor and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
– Perform duties in line with mission, values, and service standards.
– Stand and walk most of the time on duty; meet unit-specific physical demands.
– Engage in significant bending, stooping, and assist in lifting and turning patients.
– Work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, as required by patient care needs.
– Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are maintained.
– Function within the scope of nursing preparation and established nursing practice guidelines.
– Exhibit a team-oriented personality, willing to provide care to a diverse population.
– Adhere to the dress code: black scrubs, no open-toed shoes.
