Travel Nurse RN – Med/Surg – $1,894 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Experience:
Minimum 2 Years Experience
Must have at least 1 year of direct MedSurg floor experience.
Traveler Experience: Must have at least 1 year of travel experience, prefer 2 years.

License:
Current state license required.

Certifications:
BCLS required.
NIHSS required.
ACLS preferred, but not required.

Must-Have:
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias.
Experience with IV start.
Experience with telemetry.
Previous experience in a Med/Surg neuroscience setting.

Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
RTO requests must be communicated prior to booking.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly lead to cancellation.
Travelers are required to work every other weekend.
Frequent floating to other units may be required based on patient needs.
Candidates must complete EKG testing prior to start.
Unit orientation is 36 hours.
All tasks must be completed in a timely manner.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
Responsibilities include caring for stroke patients and other neuro diagnoses.
Unit includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with a daily census of 4 patients.
Patient care involves managing a variety of neuro conditions.
Candidates must abide by all scheduling policies, including weekend shifts.
Module completion is required prior to start.
References are required prior to start.
Candidates must be comfortable with the expectation of floating to various units.
