Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone).
Wound care experience.
Drain/tube management skills.
PIV starts.
Central line management experience.
Description:
This position requires an RN with experience in MedSurg/Tele nursing.
The facility has 241 licensed beds and is a Level 3 Trauma center.
It serves as a teaching hospital, and features a certified Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center.
The nursing unit has 32 beds with an average census of 28 patients.
Patient types commonly treated include those undergoing total joint replacements, colon resections, gallbladder surgeries, appendectomies, amputations, and hip fractures.
Nursing ratios are 1:4-6 during the day and 1:5-6 at night.
CNA assistance is available for vital signs, baths, mobility, turning, and blood sugar checks.
Support personnel include receptionists, a charge nurse, and phlebotomists.
Telemetry monitoring is available 24/7.
The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring equipment.
Float requirements may include movement to other facilities within the region as needed.
Travelers are expected to work a rotating weekend schedule every other weekend.
Holidays will be a shared responsibility, with travelers working 75% of recognized holidays.
Requests for time off will be accommodated up to six days, excluding holidays, with the understanding that contracted hours must still be met.
Standard shift times are from 0645-1900 and 1845-0700.
A scheduling cycle will occur every six weeks.
Scrub color for staff is navy.
