Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Tele unit.
This facility is a 241 licensed bed institution with a Level 3 Trauma designation.
The unit has 32 beds with an average patient census of 32.
Patient types include stroke, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5.
Support within the department includes CNAs for activities of daily living, mobility, and feeding.
Charge nurses may or may not have a patient assignment.
Phlebotomy services are available, and an IV/VAT team is on-site.
Respiratory therapy and hospitalist services are provided 24/7.
Telemetry monitoring and technicians are also available.
Technology used includes an EMR system and various medical equipment such as IV pumps and monitors.
Virtual nursing technology is utilized for additional patient monitoring and assistance with admissions and discharges.
Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice.
Orientation includes a departmental orientation of 2 days.
Travelers are expected to work a weekend rotation and most holidays.
Request time off can be approved for up to 6 days, excluding holidays.
Shift times include 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, with a scheduling cycle every 6 weeks.
