Shift: 12-hour Night Shift

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience

License: Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have: Basic Med/Tele skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.

Job Description:
– 241 licensed beds with Level 3 Trauma
– Certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
– 24-bed unit with an average daily census of 24
– Fast-paced observation unit with various cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and other diagnoses
– Patient ratios: RN to patient ratio of 1:5-6; CNA to patient ratio of 1:12
– Support includes charge nurse (may have patient assignments), phlebotomy, IV/VAT Team, 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist on-site during day shifts, virtual support in evenings/overnight, and 24/7 intensivist
– Telemetry monitoring remote with tele tech
– Use of technology/equipment like EMR: EPIC, IV Pump: Alaris, Med dispensing: Omnicell, and Massimo monitors in all rooms
– Required to float within the region as needed, with travel time between facilities compensated
– Two days of orientation for facility and unit
– Scrub color: Navy blue
