Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NHSS
Must-Have: General Med-Surg RN skills, IV starts, drain/tube management, wound care, NGT placement, central line management

Job Description:

– Facility with 174 licensed beds
– Focus on patient-centered care with a supportive, non-retaliatory unit culture
– Common patient diagnoses include general surgeries, orthopedics, Med Tele, COPD, stroke, diabetes, and other general med-surg populations
– Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6, LPN: 1:5-6, CNA: 1:8-9
– Will manage non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone, Heparin infusions, blood products
– Supported by CNAs, a receptionist/HUC, a charge nurse, a phlebotomy team, IV/VAT team, resource nurse as team lead, 24/7 RT, hospitalist, intensivist (in ICU), and centralized telemetry monitoring
– Technology/Equipment: EMR (Epic), IV Pump (Alaris), Med dispensing (Omnicell), Monitors (Phillips)
– Floating: Required to float within region and scope of practice to multiple facilities as needed; floating mid-shift will be compensated for travel time
– Orientation: Two days for facility and unit
– Scrub Color: Navy
