– Cardiac skills and cardiac rhythm interpretation
– Basic non-titrated cardiac drips (Cardizem and Amiodarone)
– General Med-Surg skills including trach care, wound care, and drain and tube management
Job Description:
– Work in a 174-bed facility with a non-trauma designation, focusing on patient-centered care
– Engage in a collegial, hostility-free work environment with supportive and non-retaliatory culture
– Care for a variety of patients, including those with COPD, CHF, chest pain, MI, N-STEMI, stroke, TIA, and new onset cardiac arrhythmia, as well as post-surgical and medical patients
– Maintain patient ratios of RN: 1:5 and LPN/CNA as applicable
– Support available from CNAs for ADLs, ambulation, patient care, meal assistance, and various duties as assigned
– Access to a receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, and 24/7 RT and hospitalist support
– Utilize EMR: Epic, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
– Floating required within the regional facilities as needed, with travel time compensated during mid-shift relocations
– Orientation includes two days of departmental training
– Required to wear navy scrubs
