**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour Night Shift – 36 hours per week
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN experience
**License:** Registered Nurse
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
– General Med/Surg/Tele skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation
– Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone)
– Proficiency in patient care involving tubes/drains, IV starts, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes
**Job Description:**
– Join a facility licensed for 457 beds with special designations as a Level 3 Trauma Center, a Stroke Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Chest Pain Center.
– Engage in a department that emphasizes teamwork and accountability.
– Work with a diverse patient population, including those with chronic diseases, CHF, mental health issues, addiction requiring extended IV antibiotics, COPD, diabetes, wounds, and geriatric care.
– Support from a robust team including a Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Clinical Mentors, and Rapid Response RNs.
– Utilize technology and equipment such as EPIC EMR, scales, GBS machines, transfer devices, vein finders, EKG, and tele-medicine carts.
– Be willing to float within the designated region and scope of practice. If floating mid-shift, you will be compensated for travel time while remaining on the clock.
– Participate in a comprehensive orientation program including 2 days of departmental orientation.
– Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
