Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Medical Surgical

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off one shift per two weeks.

Experience: Preferred 2 years; first-time travelers accepted

License: South Carolina or Compact license must be active prior to starting

Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred

Must-Have: Epic experience

Job Description:

– Work in the Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6-7, supporting 1:6 under normal conditions.
– Required to work every other weekend and be available for on-call duties as needed.
– May need to float within scope to other like units or sister facilities.
– Open to accommodating block schedule requests prior to assignment but not guaranteed.
– Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted.
– South Carolina license is prioritized; pending licenses will be considered with proof of application or ability to complete the process.
– Travelers must complete 16 hours of non-billable orientation and modules prior to starting.
– Compliance with vaccination requirements: Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed.
– Note on hurricane season: Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams from June through November; peak months are August and September.
