Description:
Orientation is bi-weekly.
Candidates must have Cerner experience.
Responsibilities include caring for adult and geriatric patients on a medical surgical floor.
Patient ratio is 1:6.
The unit consists of 18 beds.
Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end of life care, falls, weakness, sepsis, and infection.
Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps.
The electronic health record system is Cerner.
Looking for team players who are strong patient advocates.
This is a busy floor and candidates need to keep up with the demands.
Charge experience is preferred.
Required education is either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in nursing.
Scrub color is flexible.
No unacceptable attire is specified.
