Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse – Acute Care Nights
Job Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed – Inpatient
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
Guaranteed Hours:
Experience: Less than 1 year; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours. Direct patient care experience preferred.
License: Licensed as an RN as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Certifications: Adheres to American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards.
Must-Have: Active RN license, knowledge of current clinical practice standards, commitment to evidence-based practice and shared governance.
Job Description:
– Be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
– Practice in a clinical environment supported by shared governance and evidence-based practice models.
– Perform the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring care is individualized and patient-centered.
– Partner with patients and significant others to achieve optimal care outcomes, adapting service delivery to cultural diversity.
– Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
– Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and participate actively in recruitment and retention efforts of healthcare team members.
– Support and participate in performance improvement and research initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
– Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education.
– Serve as a preceptor or mentor to other professional nurses and healthcare team members.
– Promote evidence-based practice and participate in evaluating patient care products and processes.
– Proactively plan for care continuity and support efficient use of resources.
