– Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing required
– Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

**Job Description:**

The Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is steered by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research.

– Performs nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
– Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to cultural diversity and individual patient needs
– Partners with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods
– Practices using current clinical practice standards to provide high-quality care
– Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care
– Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration, promoting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members
– Participates and supports performance improvement, research, and shared governance
– Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and mandatory education
– Acts as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff
– Engages in evidence-based practice and research to improve patient care
– Upholds healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies
– Participates in data collection and consults experts to advance evidence-based practice
– Proactively plans and coordinates patient care across the care continuum
– Supports the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes
– Ensures efficient use of human and material resources
– Performs other assigned duties
