Job Description

**Job Title:** RN – Acute Care Float – Nights

**Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed – Inpatient

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), Every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holidays

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** Less than 1 year required; direct patient care experience preferred

**License:** Registered Nurse License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

**Job Description:**

– Serve as an active member of an interdisciplinary care team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care.
– Coordinate and document patient care delivery in accordance with clinical standards and practices.
– Provide patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
– Partner with patients and significant others using effective communication and care planning.
– Practice using evidence-based standards and promote service excellence goals.
– Demonstrate teamwork and support performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
– Complete all mandatory education and assessments, and participate in professional development.
– Serve as a mentor or preceptor for nursing staff and students, modeling professional practice.
– Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research for improved patient care.
– Comply with health care policies, procedures, and accreditation standards to ensure safety and quality.
– Engage in data collection and consult experts to enhance practice.
– Proactively plan patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve best practice outcomes.
– Support the efficient use of human and material resources.
– Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to organizational policies and standards.
