**Job Title:** RN – Acute Care Float Nurse – Nights
**Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed – Inpatient
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, every other weekend, 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Less than 1 year; Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours preferred.
**License:** Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN – Multi-state Compact
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
**Job Description:**
– Perform the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized high-quality care.
– Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics.
– Collaborate with patients and their significant others to align with the patient’s goals and ensure effective communication.
– Coordinate and document safe and quality patient care by using diverse interdisciplinary communication methods.
– Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to promote a respectful clinical environment and support recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
– Participate in performance improvement efforts, nursing research, and shared governance initiatives.
– Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce.
– Uphold all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, maintaining adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
– Engage in data collection and consult appropriate resources to enhance evidence-based practice.
– Plan proactively for the care of patients across the care continuum and support efficient use of resources.
– Participate in protocol and procedure development to achieve best practice outcomes.
