Job Description

**Job Title:** RN – Acute Float – Nights

**Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed – Inpatient

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, every other weekend, 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** Less than 1 year; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours preferred; direct patient care experience preferred.

**License:** RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:**
– Ability to read, write, and speak English
– Basic computer skills and ability to optimize the use of technology in clinical care
– Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
– Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and composure
– Excellent time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills

**Job Description:**

– Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized, high-quality patient care.
– Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics.
– Partner with patients and significant others to focus on patients’ goals and coordinate care effectively.
– Adhere to current clinical practice standards and organizational policies and procedures.
– Coordinate safe and quality patient care delivery through diverse and inclusive communication methods.
– Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, promoting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
– Participate in performance improvement, research, and use of evidence-based practice to enhance patient care quality.
– Support professional development by completing all required education, serving as a mentor or preceptor, and promoting a healthy work environment.
– Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
– Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
