Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse – Acute Care Float
Job Specialty: Registered / Licensed Nurse – Inpatient
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, including every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holidays
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours required. Direct patient care experience preferred.
License: RN – Single State or Multi-state Compact
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Must-Have: Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, excellent time management, ability to function in a fast-paced environment, and strong critical thinking skills.
Job Description:
– Serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care.
– Practice in a clinical environment governed by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice.
– Uphold nursing practices as outlined by the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
– Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care.
– Provide patient-centered care that reflects an understanding of cultural diversity.
– Collaborate with patients, significant others, and the healthcare team to ensure care coordination.
– Promote and uphold safety and quality patient care standards.
– Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and contribute to team recruitment and retention.
– Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance activities.
– Engage in ongoing professional development, mentoring, and precepting to support nursing workforce development.
– Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement activities.
– Take part in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
– Efficiently and effectively use human and material resources.
– Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all relevant policies and standards.
