Job Description

**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse – Acute Care Float

**Job Specialty:** Registered / Licensed – Inpatient

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Day

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** Less than 1 year, Completion of an accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours preferred

**License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, RN License

**Must-Have:**
– Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology for clinical care
– Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
– Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively
– Excellent time management and analytical skills
– Ability to perform nursing using evidence and critical thinking skills

**Job Description:**

– Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practices to ensure individualized and optimal patient care.
– Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and adapts to population-specific characteristics.
– Partner with patients and significant others to make their goals the focus of the care plan.
– Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using diverse communication methods.
– Uphold professional standards set by relevant nursing associations and legal/regulatory requirements.
– Participate in activities promoting evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement in nursing.
– Proactively plan patient care across the care continuum, collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve best practice outcomes.
– Support efficient use of human and material resources.
– Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce.

**Additional Requirements:**
– Work schedule from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
– Every other weekend and rotating holidays (2 major, 2 minor)
