Description:
Unit Information:
Number of Beds – 30.
Day shift typically includes 4-5 RNs and 2-3 PCTs.
Night shift typically includes 4-5 RNs and 2-3 PCTs.
Patient Ratios for Med Surg are 6:1, occasionally 7:1.
ICU typically has a more step-down patient ratio of 4:1.
Type of equipment includes EMR – Cerner.
Typical procedures performed include Thoracentesis, Vents, A lines, Central lines, and Dressing changes.
Best personality fit is outgoing with strong teamwork skills.
Unit requires weekend shifts every other weekend minimum.
Dress code is navy blue scrubs.
Candidates with ICU experience are preferred.
