Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Job Duration: 13-week assignment
Shift: Night, 3×12-Hour (6:15 PM – 5:45 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty, acute care facility experience preferred
License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
Certifications:
– Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS)
– Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
– Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have:
– Experience in labor required; postpartum and Level 2 nursery experience preferred
– Intermediate fetal monitoring skills
– Experience with Cerner required
Job Description:
– Deliver coordinated nursing care according to established standards of care and the nursing process
– Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines
– Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment
– Collect relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situations and analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
– Develop and implement a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment
– Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify outcomes for patients or situations
– Collaborate with the team of patients, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment
– Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members
– Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care
– Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members
– Perform other job-related duties as assigned
