Must-Have:
IV start, Triage, Circulate, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, baby nurse/transition experience
Must be comfortable initiating NRP for low to moderate risk deliveries, including starting CPAP and PPV until additional help arrives
Description:
The position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
The unit cares for low to moderate risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and postpartum patients along with their newborns.
Nurses will triage patients in dedicated rooms and provide medical screenings.
Nurses will circulate and recover their own C-sections from the operating room suite and private rooms.
Floating within the hospital is necessary, but floating to affiliate hospitals is not allowed.
Weekend work is required.
Candidates must have experience in newborn transitions and fetal monitoring.
Nurses will need to be proficient in initiating interventions as needed for the care of patients.
Charting will be done using electronic medical record systems.
