Description:
Labor and Delivery position for night shift.
Start date is immediate, ideally as soon as possible.
Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are eligible.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2.
Call is required for 36 hours within a six-week period, or 12 hours per pay period.
Must be on premises within 45 minutes after receiving a call.
Every other weekend and holiday coverage is needed.
Float to similar units, such as Mom/Baby, is required.
Experience in high-risk labor and delivery is preferred.
Triage experience is also preferred.
This position is in a short-term acute care facility.
The facility is a teaching hospital with a total of 338 staffed beds.
Scrubs will be provided.
Charting is done using Cerner.
There is no guarantee of a set schedule.
Two supervisor references are required.
No more than 7 days of request time off allowed per 13-week contract, with no time off during the first two weeks.
If a traveler has previous employment, they must have been gone for a minimum of 1 year to return to this position.
The manager may or may not conduct interviews.
All submissions will be reviewed by the clinical team.
Completion of pre-start modules is required, with an average of 12 hours expected.
Orientation includes 28 hours of training.
