Description:
The position involves working in a labor and delivery unit with 11-20 beds.
Nurses are expected to handle a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
Orientation is not provided, so experience in L&D is essential.
Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing NST, Pitocin inductions, Cytotec inductions, managing epidurals, and performing amnio infusions.
Candidates should also be comfortable with handling versions and assisting with c-sections.
Scrub color for the unit is light blue.
Floating support is expected in the postpartum area.
Candidates are required to work every third weekend.
The position requires flexibility for a 36 or 48-hour workweek.
The hospital employs EPIC charting systems for documentation.
A 60-mile radius rule applies, with possible rate adjustments for local candidates.
