License: Current RN licensure
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Job requires strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
Communicates in a highly professional manner at all times.
Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill individuals.
Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating to patients, families, and coworkers.

Description:
Responsible to the Unit Director for overall nursing practice.
Includes the responsibility for assessment of childbearing individuals and neonates, as well as family needs.
Develops a plan of care to meet those needs.
Implements nursing interventions.
Evaluates nursing care based on outcomes for the population served.
Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews certification every two years.
Holds Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and renews every two years.
Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews certification every two years.
Receives minimal supervision from the Director of Women & Children’s Services.
Holiday coverage may be required.
