Description:
Travel Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery unit.
This role involves directing and coordinating nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients.
You will be responsible for the delivery of care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Typical procedures performed in this unit include vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Ideal candidates should be flexible, friendly, and dependable.
A good understanding of equipment such as fetal heart rate monitors and fetal scalp electrodes is essential.
Candidates with experience in Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or NICU will be given preference.
Patient ratios are typically 2:1, with a 1:1 ratio for complicated cases.
The unit consists of 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, and 6 triage rooms, along with 3 Labor and Delivery operating rooms.
The staffing matrix is composed of RNs, charge nurses, CNAs, and sitters during shifts.
