Description:
This position is for a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse.
The shift involves working three nights a week from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with a holiday rotation.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2.
Weekends are required every other week.
On-call duties are required for 12 hours per 4-week period.
The nurse will not need to float to other units or facilities.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
The facility is a Level I Trauma Center and a Teaching Facility.
It has 250 staffed beds and uses EPIC for charting.
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams.
Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
An orientation of 16 hours is provided for new hires.
Vaccination for flu is required, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
