Travel Nurse RN – ICU/Critical Care – $2,400 to $2,600 per week in Renton, WA

Job Title: RN-ICU
Location: Renton, WA
Shift: Nights (36hrs)
Contract Duration: 18 weeks
Charting System: Epic Systems Corporation – EpicCare Inpatient – EMR
Trauma Level:  3

Unit Notes:
# of beds: 30 all private. 2 of those are negative air flow.
Ratios: Mostly 2:1
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical ICU mostly, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Stroke TPA/thrombectomy recovery. Target temperature management. They have a cath lab in house so ICU will receive patients directly back from cath lab.
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: 2 years of ICU experience (This is a firm requirement.)
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: As prescribed, yes.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Norepinephrine, Vasopressin, Inhalation Epoprostenol, Pressors, Sedation, etc.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse is without patients, would not expect to take on this role. There is a house supervisor 24/7.
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: No. The unit tries to staff with 2 resource RNs in addition to the Charge RN
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Vents, Bipap, HFNC
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: There is telemetry, RNs should be able to read strips. There are no Monitor techs.
