Travel Nurse RN – ICU/Critical Care – $2,161 to $2,201 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for critically ill patients in the MICU, specializing in oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, and other severe conditions.

• Administer mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy).

• Monitor and manage hemodynamically unstable patients with arterial pressure monitoring, central venous catheters, and cardiac monitoring.

• Administer chemotherapy, complex medications, and manage clinical trials and plasmapheresis procedures.

• Assist with bronchoscopy and endoscopy procedures for patients with underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions.

  Required Certifications & Skills:

  Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (required within the first 30 days of employment)

  Skills:

  • Proficiency in ventilator management, IV starts, and critical care nursing.

  • Experience in handling oncologic emergencies and providing care in a high-acuity environment.

  • Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring, central venous catheters, and mechanical ventilation.

  Computerized Charting:

  • EPIC EMR system experience is required.
