Travel Nurse RN – ICU/Critical Care – $1,955 per week in Kansas City, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: 19:00-07:00, 3×12 hour shifts with every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred
License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred but not required)
Must-Have: Advanced skills in hemodynamic and ventilator management

Job Description:

– Manage trauma patients and provide IV administration of vasoactive medications.
– Manage ventilators and chest tubes efficiently.
– Provide care for post-operative surgical patients.
– Identify and manage cardiac rhythms.
– Perform hemodynamic monitoring and provide care for stroke patients.
– Conduct procedures such as chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, and placement of arterial and central lines.
– Comply with the dress code: Navy scrub top, navy or black scrub bottoms, and navy, white, or black (solid colors) jackets and undershirts.
– Ability to float to like units: NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry units, Progressive Care Unit, Burn Unit, Emergency Department Inpatient Overflow, and other units as per hospital needs.
– Work in a facility that is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center.
– Handle documentation via the Meditech system.
– Be willing to work in a facility equipped with modern technology and staffed with tenured professionals.
