Description:
This position involves caring for patients in the cardiac intensive care unit.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, with 1:1 for immediate post-operative care and 1:1 for patients on LVADs.
Patients may include those recovering from catheterization, post-operative heart surgery, and unstable acute myocardial infarction.
Charting is done using Epic.
The unit has 12 beds, and there may be a float requirement as needed in skillset.
The nurse will be involved in special procedures such as ECMO and bedside emergent re-entry.
Every other weekend shift is required.
There is no call requirement for this position.
