Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience
License: RN License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred), TNCC (strongly preferred)
Must-Have: General ED nursing skills
Job Description:
– Work in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area.
– Handle a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
– Care for a patient population that includes all age groups and conditions.
– Operate with an average census of 230 visits per day.
– Use the EPIC ASAP charting system for documentation.
– Be prepared to float to different areas within the department as needed.
– Rotate shifts when requested, though the night position does not require regular rotation.
– Execute general ED nursing duties including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
