Shift: 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM, Nights & Every Other Weekend, 36 hours per week

Guaranteed Hours: N/A

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Nursing

License: Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC strongly preferred, NRP (preferred)

Must-Have: General ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.

Job Description:

– Work in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with separate pediatric and Acute Mental Health areas.
– Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
– Serve a diverse patient population with approximately 230 visits per day.
– Utilize EPIC ASAP for electronic medical records.
– Be prepared to float to different units as required.
– Required rotating shifts for day rotations (7a-7p, 11a-11p, & 7p-7a) though the night position does not rotate.
– Engage in patient education and demonstrate critical thinking in emergency situations.
