Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (preferred)

Must-Have:
– Trauma Level IV experience
– Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
– Experience with patient assessment and critical thinking skills

Description:
This position is for an Emergency Room/Medsurg Swing Registered Nurse.
The nurse will provide care to patients in an Emergency Room setting.
The unit has 4 beds and 2 trauma bays.
Patients are treated based on a variety of medical conditions.
There is an average of 10 patients treated per day in the ER.
The charge nurse will take patients alongside their administrative duties.
The team consists of an ED physician and on-call nurse aids, EMTs, or paramedics.
Registered Nurses are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips.
Lab staff will draw labs, while RNs will manage patient care activities.
Floating to Medsurg and swing beds within the same unit is required.
Navy blue scrubs are the designated dress code.
An orientation period is provided, totaling 12 hours divided across shifts.
There is no call or standby requirement for this position.
Patients requiring mental health care have separate psych/seclusion rooms available.
All candidates must have the necessary certifications prior to employment.
