Description:
Travel RN for the Emergency Department.
Two years of experience in a hospital setting required.
Candidates must have an active compact license upon application.
BLS certification is required.

Unit specifics include:
– Number of beds: 19
– Patient ratios: 1:5
– Staffing includes unit secretaries and techs.
– Equipment includes GE Monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, and Level 1 infuser.
– Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements involve weekend and holiday rotations.
Floating to other areas is rare.

Patient experience requirements include:
– Whiteboard usage
– Keeping patients informed
– Ensuring patients and families feel cared for

Required procedures on the unit include:
– Moderate sedation
– Central line placement
– Chest tube placement
– IV insertion
– Lab draw
– Point of care testing
– EKGs
– Respiratory treatments

Dress code is dark blue scrubs.
The facility has received awards for stroke certification, cath lab, and trauma level 3.
