Description:
This is a backfill position in the Emergency Department.
The facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center.
It offers advanced medical services to a diverse population.
Care is provided for various medical conditions, including surgical and rehabilitation services.
The department features a team nursing and pod system.
There is an assigned social worker and unit educator.
The Emergency Department has 48 beds with flex space.
Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in fast track.
Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Required education is an RN ADN.
Ideal candidates will have two years of experience in the Emergency Department.
Equipment includes a Zoll defibrillator, level one blood transfuser, blood warmer, and ultrasound-guided IV.
EHR utilized is Cerner.
