**Shift:** Night 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 4, 12-hour shifts – 48 hours in one workweek
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience required
**License:** Must have IN or compact license in hand for start dates 2-4 weeks out. For start dates 4+ weeks out, must have started the IN/compact licensing process to be considered.
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, and NIH required
**Must-Have:** Proficiency in Cerner. Flu Vaccine required with only medical/religious exemptions allowed.
**Job Description:**
– This is a float position that may require working on an inpatient PCU unit when necessary.
– The unit is a boarding area where patients come from the emergency department and are boarded until discharge or moved to another inpatient unit.
– Patients on this unit are stable and will be transferred out if they become unstable.
– The unit can fluctuate in size from 4 to 8-10 beds, and staffing is adjusted based on acuity and need.
– Staffing may involve a nurse/CNA or nurse/LPN team depending on patient ratios.
– Team nursing is practiced on this unit, with RNs collaborating with LPNs. Nurses should be comfortable with delegation in this setup.
– Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals is 100% required.
– Must be willing to work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
– Non-billable modules, averaging 4-6 hours, must be completed pre-start.
– Orientation is 12 hours non-billable.
