Description:
This position involves nursing duties in the endoscopy unit.
The scheduled hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
On-call requirements include up to two weeknights and two weekend days with a 45-minute callback time.
Floating to other facilities may be required as needed.
The nurse will be expected to perform moderate sedation and EPIC charting.
Responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients in the perioperative area.
An essential aspect of this role is to assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
Nurses will collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care plans.
Providing clear explanations and instructions to patients or their responsible persons is crucial.
The nurse will utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
Contributing to a healthy workplace environment through effective conflict management and professional communication skills is expected.
Meeting core measure responsibilities related to patient care is required.
Participation in continuing education and maintaining complete and accurate medical records is essential.
