Must-Have: Experience in administering moderate sedation, ability to assist with cardiac and radiology procedures, capability to circulate or scrub in the procedure room.
Description:
The Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Suite – Interventional Radiology is responsible for the quality of nursing care rendered to patients.
The CVIR RN assesses, plans, implements, directs, supervises, and evaluates direct and indirect nursing care for patients in the CVIR setting.
The role entails administering moderate sedation and completing admission assessments while recovering patients.
The RN assists the physician with procedures including cardiac and radiology procedures requiring moderate/procedural sedation.
They circulate or scrub in the procedure room and render nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, implanted Pacemaker/ICD, and interventional radiology procedures.
Patient care is delivered through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
The RN will direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
Collaboration with other professional disciplines is essential to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
