Position: RN Cardiovascular ICU/CTICU

Location: White Plains, NY

Shift: Days and nights both available

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Expected Hours: 36 hrs (3 x 12hr)

Job Overview

The CVICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries or procedures, including open-heart surgery, valve replacements, and advanced cardiac interventions. Working in a high-acuity environment, the CVICU RN is responsible for monitoring complex vital signs, managing life-support systems, and delivering evidence-based care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, administering medications and IV drips, responding rapidly to changes in patient condition, and educating patients and families.
• The CVICU RN demonstrates strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced, technologically advanced setting.
