Travel Nurse RN – CVICU – $2,805 to $3,000 per week in Dayton, OH

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for critically ill cardiac and surgical patients in a fast-paced ICU setting

• Monitor and manage life-support systems including ventilators and cardiac drips

• Respond to emergent situations using ACLS protocols

• Administer medications and titrate drips according to physician orders and protocols

• Interpret ECGs and respond appropriately to changes in rhythm

• Draw arterial blood gases and interpret results

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

• Document care accurately in EPIC EMR

• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety standards

• Participate in code responses and post-op cardiac recovery

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU RN experience

  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)

  • Must pass a telemetry/EKG competency assessment before start

  • EPIC EMR experience required

  • Experience with:

    • A-lines

    • Vents

    • Vasoactive drips

    • Sheath pulls

    • Dialysis

    • Drawing ABGs

  • Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

  • Travel nursing experience preferred

  • First-time travelers welcome

  • No Ohio license required to start
