Certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred)
Must-Have: 1 year of CVICU experience

Job Description:

– Orientation occurs twice monthly.
– Position located in a 355-bed facility, home to multiple specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and a Level 3 NICU.
– Facility features a 32 bed Emergency Department, a 29 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 15 bed surgical suite, and imaging services.
– The unit consists of 8 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 1:1.
– Required experience with equipment such as Impella, IABP, CRRT.
– The electronic health record system used is Cerner.
– Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric.
– Strong critical thinking skills are important for this role.
– Preferred candidates will have previous CVICU experience.
– Common diagnoses and treatments include CABG, TAVR, STEMI, Carotids.
– Weekend shifts required every other weekend or as needed by the facility.
– No on-call requirements.
– Dress code requires professional scrubs in any color.
– Floating requirements are per scheduled rotation.
