Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 19:00-07:00, every other weekend or as needed

Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly

Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in CVICU

License: Valid and active nursing license required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred

Must-Have: Strong critical thinking skills

Job Description:

– Work in the CVICU unit, focusing on cases such as CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid treatments.
– Provide care to adult and geriatric patients, maintaining a patient ratio of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 care.
– Utilize advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
– Adhere to a professional dress code, wearing scrubs in any color.
– Participate in scheduled rotations for float requirements, ensuring adaptability within the facility.
– Collaborate and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
– Attend orientation sessions provided twice monthly for a comprehensive introduction to the work environment.
– Utilize electronic health records system, Cerner, for documentation and patient care management.
