Our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a 8-bed high acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients. CICU receives patients from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas who require specialized cardiac care. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. The nurses work to collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Our team is dedicated to making our patient’s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.

Education – Required

1. Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

1. AHA ACLS
2. AHA BLS
3. AHA NIH

 Certifications – Preferred

1. PALS – If working in pediatric unit

Licenses – Required

1. Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses’ accepted)
2. Nursys

Experience – Required:

1. 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.
