Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
The shift is a night position working 12 hours.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 2:1, with 1:1 for immediate post-operative care and for patients with LVADs, and 1:2 for patients on ECMO.
Common diagnoses include post-cath, post-operative heart surgery, and unstable acute myocardial infarction.
Charting will be done using the Epic system.
Navy blue scrub color is required.
The position may require floating to support areas as needed.
Special procedures include ECMO and bedside emergent re-entry.
Weekends are required every other weekend.
No orientation hours are available for this position.
