Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours (3×12 hour shifts)

Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Experience: Cath Lab experience required

License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Certifications:
– BLS-AHA
– ACLS-AHA
– Telemetry

Must-Have:
– Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI.
– Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and atherectomy devices is preferred.
– Willingness to cover on-call shifts, supporting cardiac procedures during off hours and on weekends.
– English language proficiency (speak, read, write).

Job Description:
– Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
– Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
– Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
– Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.
– Initiate assessments based on the patient’s problems or needs, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
– Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
– Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
– Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
– Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
– Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
